Changes to Passport and Notarial Service Fees
Passport and notarial service fees are set in Australian dollars under legislation. At the Embassy, you will be required to pay the equivalent amount in local currency at the prevailing exchange rate. Fees for services provided by the Australian Embassy in Athens are charged in Euros only.
It is important to note that the fees are adjusted monthly in line with exchange rate fluctuations.
The Embassy’s method of payment is by credit card / debit card (only MasterCard or Visa are accepted).
At Australian Consulates in Bucharest and Sofia, please complete the required authorisation form for credit / debit card transactions and bring it with you to your appointment.
Applicants are reminded:
• All new passport applications have to be lodged in person at the time of interview.
• Minors do not have to attend the lodgement interview but at least one person with parental responsibility for the child must lodge the application in person and provide proof of their identity
